C3 Woodworking - Capstone Project
January 2023- April 2023
For this opportunity, a team of 3 students including myself created a brand from the ground up. Being the project manager, I was tasked with leading my team through an arduous ten week process of creating logos, print material, help guides, and creating a website that allowed the client to sell his products.
This was a really fruitful project. Beyond the ability to to help a small business get their brand off the ground, I received good client experience, and the knowledge I learned from being the direct line between a client and a team was incredibly valuable to learn. Although we collectively worked on this 50 page behemoth of a deliverable, I am solely the creator of the logo and brochure. I was also the lead web author.

Social Media Content for Donation Drive
March 2023
In this volunteer opportunity, I created a social media post for a donation drive for the Bearcat Pantry and the Bearcat Alumni Association. Since this was for two university organizations, I had to jump through many hoops of approval to accomplish a design that both appealed to the many university style guides while also creating an appealing call to action.
Beyond the mere benefit of helping the drive by creating this content, it was a great learning experience working with a large organization. This served to give me experience working through limitations to produce really talented work.

The Etiology of Grieving and Existentialism
February 2023
For this imitation assignment, we had to model our style and formatting to a medical document. The catch here was to of course switch the topic in which I chose grieving. Nothing about this project was at all difficult but It was interesting to take a thought process such as grieving, and break in down into something of a disease.
I really enjoyed turning this concept over onto its head. I choose this topic as I was processing a loss of my own, and by creating this document and talking through this system, I felt as if I worked through my own grieving issues as I finished this project. I only wish I wrote this without a word limit.

Environmental Science Capstone Project
December 2022
In this semester long project, I worked alongside seven now graduated environmental studies students. I served the the writer, line editor, and document designer on this study of birds in Burnet woods. I also used my tableau skills to help visualize our data set.
I found this project to be holistic in the field of professional writing. By doing this scientific writing and working on a team, it truly showed me the value I can provided to a wide range of fields. Granted, I do have a soft spot for science and nature, but to see this team work in action really built some perspective for me.

Environmental Justice and Advocacy Symposium Logo Design
November 2022
For this project, I worked one on one with a professor who was hosting the Environmental Justice and Advocacy Symposium in designing his logo. I used Adobe Illustrator to draft up multiple logo designs for the client. After some focus group testing, and settling on a design that the client approved, I refined the last few suggestion the client had for the deliverable, and pre-flighted the asset to ensure it was print ready.
This was a great opportunity for multiple reasons. First and foremost, I was able to help a professor with a really poor understanding of design principles build equity for a really good cause. The second benefit of this project was to build some real world customer interactions with the multiple steps of refinement before I delivered the logo.

Collaborative Visualized Interview
April 2022
This side project was the creative brain child of my classmate and I in which we took an interview between each other and visualized it. Not only did we pull terms out of the interview that resonated with the message we were trying to convey, we also took the emotions elicited from the works we wrote to build this graphic. This was an interview between two people visualized based on the creative writing works we workshopped for a semester.
This is the most enjoyable cooperative work I've ever been a part of. Being Avant-Garde in our approach, we developed a really interesting way of turning language on its head. By adding the depth of perception to another's work, we created a whole new medium for the creative work we had already displayed.

Style Analysis Portfolio
March 2022
This project was a midterm for my Writing with Style class. We were promoted to show our abilities deviating from the conventional, whilst still providing accurate analysis of other authors.

This project was one of my favorite things to work on in recent times. It came with many road blocks but became a project I have come to love greatly.

Magazine Spread with Data Visualization
April 2022
This project was for my digital skills class. The aim of the assignment was to curate some degree of a spread using a data set. The direction I took for this assignment was to make a faux magazine spread that included the data visualization.
This was an enjoyable project to work on. In the process of the creation of this spread I learned a very valuable software. That being Tableau, I now have a tool that I understand how to make interactive data visualizations with to accentuate my work.

Magazine Spread
November 2021
For this project, I designed a spread for a faux Times Magazine article. Within, I show my indesign skills and I use other skills to put forth a product that emcompasses my abilities to use these programs proficiently.

I very much enjoyed this project as I was able to express my creative abilities whilst completing the task. I took directions from my client and created a product above and beyond the expected goals. I found a lot of joy in being able to choose the pull quote to better help the reader better fixate on the important sections of the writer's work.

Mediterranean Diet Infographic
August 2021
In this infographic I highlighted the benefits of the Mediterranean diet. I cite information such as what the diet entails, health benefits, and environmental benefits.

I had a absolute blast with this infographic. I love being able to share this diet with as many people as possible, because vegetarianism and veganism is just not cut for everyone. I loved being able to show of the benefits and some of my favorite greek foods that are near and dear to my heart.

Social Media Audit
November 2020
In this writing, I audited a social media profile for a small coffee company. In this audit I overviewed what the company was doing right with there social media and what they could have worked on to improve their business. I also suggest improvements to bolster their business.

This was an interesting task. For this audit, I really had to take the perspective of a small company and view things through their lenses. I learned from this writing how much really goes into managing social media and the benefits it has for a business.

Website Audit
February 2021
For this writing, I audited the Genius music website. In doing this I took the persona of a young YouTube personality. In this analysis I checked for three main issues pertaining to web authoring, content, design, and usability.
By taking a persona, I was able to see the website from a differing perspective from that I could provide. This is a really interesting tool to use when trying to reach a target audience as you can almost rewire your brain to see things from the perspective you need to tailor a work to.
